Dead Sea Clay is taken from the ancient Dead Sea, and has been used as a tool for skin care for thousands of years. Resting at 1,300 feet below sea level, the Dead Sea is known to be the lowest surface on earth. It is packed with dozens of essential minerals that are infused into the clay during its slow creation. These natural minerals act to moisturize, cleanse, and strengthen your skin. High levels of calcium will help to promote cell turnover while maintaining proper amounts of moisture. The sodium found in Dead Sea Clay will fight against toxins and free radicals. The magnesium will keep your skin looking healthy and youthful. Dead Sea Clay uses a “pulling” action to help promote blood flow and improve circulation to the skin’s surface. This process will allow your skin to eliminate toxins and efficiently process helpful nutrients. With all of these amazing benefits, you can see why Dead Sea Clay has been such a hit over the years. The Miracle Clay for Dry/Anti Aging Skin Types:
Rhassoul is amazing. It has a great ability to remove blackheads but yet is hydrating and can calm inflammation and irritation. It is an amazing skin softener and brings balance to dry skin. It contains higher percentages of silica, magnesium, potassium, and calcium than other clays which all greatly nourish the skin. Rhassoul clay really does hydrate the skin and somehow, it pulls crap out of the pores at the same time! It can bring a zit to a head without stripping the skin of moisture. Leave it on for about 10-15 minutes and use a toner or just water to keep it from drying out. It is very gentle and literally smooths skin out in minutes!! I highly recommend our Moroccan Glow Purifying Powder Mask if you are concerned with dry skin but experiencing acne.
How to Use a Clay Mask
The key with clay masks is that they are only active when wet. Therefore, once a clay mask dries on your skin, it becomes inactive. It also can dry your skin out too much if you allow it to dry. I often mask in the bath and once I feel my mask drying I pat my face with wet hands. You can also spray hydrosol, toner or water on your skin to keep it working.
Rinse the mask off with cool water and be sure to follow up with a toner and moisturizer to replenish the hydration the mask might have removed.
